Rattle That Lock

It's about the community, and in a community we look out for one another. But in a world where being online can tend to lead to reactions more like road-rage behind the wheel on a '91 Chevy Metro. How to you control the noise. As mentioned in an earlier blog, there are challenges in collaborative learning or development. The Article by Konsti-Laasko that inspired this blog post looks more into community development and using social media as a community engagement vehicle. A medium by which citizen and producers can give and receive feedback.

Now, what made me laugh a bit when 85% offered little by way of ideas, but they are individuals, they have fences to put up, or kids to take care of. There other 15% are your type A personalities, the potential politicians. I think this sort of input is to be expected of any sort of population, not everyone has the time to dedicate feedback we'd like and probably need.

But the article show it can work, but it has to bite. Much like our representative government, in order to get the impact you want you have to engage the producers, the developers, the one that make the rules.  How do you do that? At least ethically... engage more citizen in the discussion. If there is enough chatter, the producers will get interested, will react. It takes commotion.
